Game Pass Cloud streaming officially available on Amazon Fire TV

Last month, Amazon announced a partnership with Microsoft/Xbox to bring Game Pass to its Fire TV Sticks via cloud streaming. Said to be coming some time in July, the Xbox Game Pass app is now officially available.

Following the announcement last month that the Xbox Game Pass app would be coming to Amazon’s latest Fire TV sticks (2023’s 4K and 4K Max models) sometime this month, the official Game Pass app is now available.

As mentioned, given the relatively weak power of the Fire TV Stick, it is only able to access Game Pass via streaming, and so expect varying results depending on your internet / region.

The Fire TV app marks the second partnership of its kind with regards to Game Pass, as the application has been available on modern Samsung TVs for quite some time.

With Microsoft cancelling its previous plans for a cloud-based console, expanding its Game Pass app to as many different smart hubs as possible makes a great deal of sense.
