Astro Bot to get a sequel, according to PlayStation Trophies

Astro Bot is an upcoming 3D mascot platformer from PlayStation’s Team Asobi. While Astro has appeared in multiple games (including a PS5 pack-in title), the little bot is set to get his first big break with the PS5 exclusive ‘Astro Bot’. Ahead of the game’s launch, Astro Bot’s PlayStation Trophies have leaked – indicating that a sequel is seemingly in the works.

Ahead of the official launch of Astro Bot on the 6th of September, the PlayStation Trophies list for the platformer have gone live. While in and of itself not a major deal, the Platinum Trophy (achieved by obtaining all other trophies) is called ‘Astro-nomical!’ and includes the following description:

“Earned all Trophies. Well done and see you in Astro's next adventure!”

Of course, the upcoming Astro Bot could be a massive flop, killing Astro Bot’s franchise potential. That said, this outcome seems unlikely, and assuming the game is well-received, we will likely get a full-fledged sequel at some point in the (hopefully) not too distant future.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
