Asus officially launches its first ROG NUC with up to Core Ultra 9 and RTX 40 graphics

Asus has entered the NUC market with the launch of the ROG NUC, a small but powerful gaming PC. The new ROG NUCs are based on Intel's Core Ultra 100H series and Nvidia RTX 40 gaming laptop GPUs, offering plenty of power to play your favourite games in a compact 2.5-litre case.

The new ROG NUC series is available in two models: one with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H (ROG NUC 970) and another with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H (ROG NUC 760). In addition to integrated Arc graphics, the Core Ultra 9-powered model has an RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, while the Core Ultra 7 PC features an RTX 4060. Regardless of your preference, the system will have Windows 11 Home preinstalled.

The ROG NUC supports up to 64GB of DDR5 memory with speeds of up to 5600 MT/s and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. However, if you wish to expand storage space, there are two more slots for PCIe 4.0 2280 SSDs. Furthermore, it features Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E, Intel 2.5G LAN, numerous USB ports, an SD card reader, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio (mic in/headphone out) jack.

Priced at £1,999/$2199 for the 185H version (barebone available for £1738) and $1629 for the 155H variant (barebone available for £1438), these ROG NUCs won't come cheap, especially considering Intel and AMD are about to drop new processors.
