Indiana Jones and the Great Circle still set for 2024 release

Despite being announced as releasing within the next few months, Microsoft and Bethesda have yet to confirm a specific release date for Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. Typically, this means a delay is on the way, as we saw with Avowed, which was also announced with a vague 2024 release date, only to be pushed to 2025 a handful of weeks later. Fortunately for Indi fans, that doesn't appear to be the case for this game.

Machine Games has been hard at work on its Indiana Jones game for a few years now. The game was finally shown off earlier this year during the Xbox Games Showcase in June, but while we did get a good look at gameplay and additional developer insights. However, we only got a vague ‘2024' release window for the game.

However, according to Insider Gaming, during a preview event for press this week, it was confirmed that the game is still releasing this year. It has also been announced that a new trailer for the game will drop during Gamescom: Opening Night Live, which takes place on the 20th of August.

It seems likely that this new trailer will bring us an official release date. We're also expecting new looks at titles like Avowed, Starfield: Shattered Space and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 during Gamescom.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
