BenQ Zowie has officially unveiled the XL2566X+, the successor to the XL2566K, which was once the official monitor for major international competitions. The new monitor is the first in the X+ series, which is characterised by offering DyAc 2 and Fast TN panels.
The new Fast TN FullHD 25-inch panel has a 400Hz refresh rate and offers higher conductivity than previous generations, ensuring quicker liquid crystal response and minimising ghosting. BenQ Zowie has also optimised colour performance in the XL2566X+, resulting in more vibrant colours and improved clarity for identifying opponents.
Additionally, the monitor is equipped with the latest DyAc 2 technology, a significant enhancement to DyAc/DyAc⁺. The new iteration of the technology offers superior motion blur reduction and ghosting minimisation through multiple backlights with precise control. Further improving the overall visual performance, the Auto Game Mode, in conjunction with the XL Setting to Share software, enables seamless transitions between colour settings for different games and usage scenarios.
The BenQ Zowie XL2566X+ has a brightness of 320 nits and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Its height adjustment mechanism allows for easy and smooth height adjustments up to 155mm. The monitor also has a swivel of +/-45º and a tilt of -5º to 35º. This monitor has plenty of connectivity options, including three HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 connector, and a headphone jack.
Finally, the XL2566X+ has a range of BenQ-exclusive features, including a Black equaliser, Color Vibrance, K Locker, flicker-free technology, low blue light technology, and Adaptive Sync. The package will include a DisplayPort and/or HDMI cable (depending on the market), a shield (hood), and a 5-way S switch. The BenQ ZOWIE XL2566X+ will be available for pre-order starting August 15th.

KitGuru says: Monitors like this tend to be aimed squarely at the esports market, meaning those who primarily play competitive games like Counter-Strike, Valorant, Call of Duty, Fortnite and League of Legends, to name a few. If you aren't in need of the competitive advantage granted by a 400Hz refresh rate, an IPS, VA or OLED monitor might be a better purchase.
