Kingdom Hearts 4 tipped to release in 2025

It has been a few years since Square Enix first announced Kingdom Hearts 4. As it took almost two decades to get Kingdom Hearts 3, many fans have not been expecting the game to release anytime soon. However, one leaker is now claiming that the game is coming in 2025.

DanielRPK, a leaker that primarily releases information on Patreon, which is behind a pay wall, Kingdom Hearts 4 is currently planned to release in 2025. The game was first announced in 2022, with little information given since then. However, it has also been reported that the game began development in 2020. Given Square Enix's recent track-record of speedier Final Fantasy releases, we wouldn't be surprised if Kingdom Hearts was getting similar treatment.

While DanielRPK is primarily known for film leaks, he does seem to have some connections at Disney based on previous leaks for Marvel and Star Wars. With that in mind, the information is likely coming from the Disney side of the equation and not Square Enix, which means plans could change.

Kingdom Hearts is a joint franchise from Disney and Square Enix, with a mix of original characters, Final Fantasy characters and Disney characters. As a result, Disney is pretty much always in the loop on Kingdom Hearts related developments, as Square Enix needs to get permission to use certain characters across games.

The last Kingdom Hearts game, Kingdom Hearts 3, released in 2019, for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Later as part of a deal with Epic Games, the entire franchise was brought to PC for the first time, but the games are only available via the Epic Games Store, skipping Steam entirely.

Insider claims Call of Duty could see a massive shake-up including no more annual releases

For pretty much its entire existence, Call of Duty has operated using a familiar model, with the FPS franchise seeing a brand new title released on an annual basis from one of the 3 core COD studios. While this has worked in the past, Black Ops 7 seems to have been a breaking point for some. According to known insiders, Microsoft is now considering a major shake-up, including a standalone Zombies game.
