Grounded and Pentiment are the first Xbox-exclusives heading to Nintendo Switch

Earlier this month, Microsoft confirmed plans to bring a few of its exclusive games to other platforms. We're getting four games in all, thought to be Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment and Grounded. To kick things off, Microsoft will be shipping both Pentiment and Grounded for Nintendo Switch.

As announced in today's Nintendo Direct focused on third-party studios, Microsoft will be bringing both Pentiment and Grounded to the Nintendo Switch.

Pentiment is a smaller 2D narrative-focused game from Obsidian's Josh Sawyer, who also directed Pillars of Eternity, the game that effectively saved Obsidian from going under.

Grounded was one of the first Obsidian games announced after Microsoft acquired the company back in 2019. This is a survival game, based around the concept of ‘Honey I Shrunk the Kids', where four players are shrunk down to ant-size and sent out into the backyard to explore. It has a fun story element to it, a ton of building mechanics and lots of interesting areas to explore. Despite all being set in one backyard, there are multiple large biomes to explore.

Pentiment is launching on Nintendo Switch tomorrow, while Grounded will be coming on the 16th of April.
