Nvidia GeForce Experience update introduces 122 new game optimisation profiles

Update: The Nvidia App is now out of beta and can be downloaded – HERE.

Nvidia shows no sign of replacing “GeForce Experience” with its new “Nvidia App” as both programs continue to coexist. While the latter has been getting more attention lately, Nvidia has recently released an update for its older software, the first in over seven months.

The latest GeForce Experience update added game optimisation profiles for 122 titles, indicating a significant expansion compared to the previous 3.27 version released in November 2023. The full list of game optimisation profiles can be found HERE.

In addition to adding new game profiles, the update addresses various bug fixes, including issues with confused driver update prompts and HDR options cutting video recording short. The update also removes the “NA” value on OSD for framerate and latency and resolves a previous issue that prohibited screenshots from being captured in windowed game mode. The detailed list of bugfixes follows:

  • Fixed an issue where GeForce Experience prompts for a new driver update even after installing the latest version.
  • Fixed an issue where desktop video recording stopped when HDR was enabled.
  • Fixed an issue where video recording was overexposed when HDR was enabled.
  • Fixed an issue where FPS and Latency intermittently showed “NA”.
  • Fixed an issue where the camera indicator was incorrectly reporting that it was enabled.
  • Fixed as an intermittent issue where screenshots were not captured for a windowed mode game.

While Nvidia has not provided a timeline for potentially replacing the GeForce Experience with the new Nvidia app, the slowing of updates indicates that the days of GFE may be numbered.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
