Assassin’s Creed Shadows officially announced

Assassin's Creed Red has now been officially unveiled. The game's official title is Assassin's Creed Shadows and just as rumoured, it will be set in Feudal-era Japan.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is getting its very first cinematic trailer tomorrow, the 15th of May. Then, during Ubisoft Forward in June, there should be a full gameplay reveal, along with an official release date announcement.

Currently, Assassin's Creed Shadows is expected to launch in the October-November time frame, so Ubisoft will be banking on this new game being its big holiday season seller. The game is also expected to feature Yasuke, a famous Samurai.

KitGuru Says: Ghost of Tsushima hitting PC this week takes some of the wind out of the sails of this announcement for me, but we can hope that Ubisoft can match that level of detail. Interestingly, there has been no mention of Assassin's Creed Infinity so far either, which was supposed to be the platform for all future Assassin's Creed games, including Assassin's Creed Red and other future projects.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
