iOS-exclusive Sonic Dream Team getting new levels and more

Sonic the Hedgehog has had a long and storied history on mobile hardware. From the earliest days of the GameGear to current modern smartphones, the blue blur has had some form of presence in the handheld and mobile markets throughout. That said, one of the most interesting mobile releases was last year’s Sonic Dream Team. An Apple Arcade exclusive, Dream Team is being updated with new zones and more.

As reported by Digital Trends, Sonic Dream Team is set to get an update tomorrow which will bring with it quite a bit of new content.

Firstly, the team is adding a whole new zone in the form of ‘Sweet Dreams Zone’ – which will be further enhanced by the game’s new ranking system, allowing players to achieve the iconic S-Rank across all levels. Finally, the update will also introduce new collectibles for you to find and acquire.

When asked whether the popular anti-hero Shadow the Hedgehog would be added in a future update, the team stated that they would “love to” but did not confirm whether this would indeed be happening at some point.

Sonic Dream Team was received positively from fans of the series, with many praising the game’s structure and level design. Hopefully, once all the free updates have been released, SEGA is able to bring Sonic Dream Team to more platforms. We will have to wait and see.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
