Star Wars Outlaws releasing this August, new trailer confirms

Just as promised, Ubisoft's new story trailer for Star Wars Outlaws is now live and better yet, it included a release date. The first open-world Star Wars game is now set to arrive in late August.

We've had a few hints at this for a while now. Recently, the media classification agencies in several countries began publishing ratings for the game, something that typically happens when a game is nearing release. Now as confirmed by the new trailer, the game will be releasing on the 30th of August, for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5.

The trailer is worth a watch if you are a Star Wars fan. This game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, so we're unlikely to encounter Luke Skywalker, but it will be interesting to explore more of the Empire-controlled galaxy. We'll be seeing planets both new and old over the course of this adventure, all while fighting, stealing and trying to outwit the major crime syndicates.

KitGuru Says: I'm starting to feel quite optimistic about this one. We've still got a few months to wait until release, but we should learn more about the game before then, and Star Wars Day is also just around the corner.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
