Grand Theft Auto 6 still ‘on track’ for 2025

A new report earlier this week claimed that Grand Theft Auto 6 had been delayed, perhaps by more than a year, pushing it out of its announced 2025 release window. Fans may be able to breathe a sigh of relief as other sources are now refuting those claims.

Insider Gaming has spoken with several sources familiar with the game's development, all of which iterated that the game was ‘on schedule' and that claims of a delay were ‘pure conjecture'. The wording in the original Kotaku article was also later updated to better reflect the game's status as targeting 2025.

Rockstar has been working on GTA 6 for years already and all indications so far point to the game being another massive hit, just like its predecessor. We still need to see more gameplay, get a more concrete release date and confirmation on release platforms, so Rockstar will no doubt be making more announcements before the end of the year.

KitGuru Says: It sounds like news of a ‘GTA 6 delay' may have been blown out of proportion. All signs are pointing to 2025 so far, but I would expect it later in the year, rather than in the first half.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
