The Last of Us Season 2’s Abby has reportedly been cast

Following the overwhelming success of HBO’s The Last of Us (thanks in part to its excellent cast), Showrunner Craig Mazin and the team have been hard at work on the show’s second season. One important character who is set to make an appearance in Season 2 is Abby. According to one report, the role has now been cast.

According to insider Jeff Sneider via ‘theinsneider’ the pivotal character of Abby Anderson has now been cast, with Kaitlyn Dever said to be helming the role.

If true, this particular casting is highly interesting as Dever was one of the most popular choices to play Ellie in a wide number of fan castings going back years now – due primarily to her resemblance to Ellie’s character model from the games.

Without going into any spoilers whatsoever, choosing to have Dever play the role of Abby could wind up being a rather genius move on a number of levels, both meta and in-universe.

Of course, nothing is confirmed until officially announced by HBO, and so we will have to wait and see, but with filming said to be starting in a few months hopefully an official announcement isn’t too far away.

Insider claims Call of Duty could see a massive shake-up including no more annual releases

While this has worked in the past, Black Ops 7 seems to have been a breaking point for some. According to known insiders, Microsoft is now considering a major shake-up, including a standalone Zombies game.
