More than 150,000 cheaters have been banned in PUBG so far

Every time a new competitive game hits the market, cheaters are going to find exploits they can take advantage of. Squashing cheaters in itself can be a challenge for many developers but it seems that Bluehole is up to the challenge with PUBG as over 150,000 cheaters have been banned so far, 8000 of which were removed in the last 24 hours.

Over on Twitter this week, PlayerUnknown proudly shared the stats for players banned for cheating in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. In total 150,000 players have been banned using BattlEye anti-cheat. This is six times the total number of bans just three months ago.

The number of players banned growing so quickly likely has a lot to do with PUBG's explosion in popularity over the last several months. The game has now sold more than ten million copies and has even managed to knock Dota 2 and CS:GO down a peg in the Steam Charts.

KitGuru Says: Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever come into contact with an obvious cheater in Battlegrounds. I can't say the same for CS:GO, which would often be frustrating to play.
