Take-Two expects GTA 6 to earn even more money following strong pre-orders

Take Two just held its most recent earnings call, just hours after announcing plans to host the GTA 6 gameplay reveal on Netflix. As you would expect, the publisher is very happy with GTA 6 pre-order numbers, and it has raised its financial forecast for the fiscal year too.

Take Two previously estimated that it would be making around $8 billion over the next fiscal year, thanks to a massive boost from GTA 6, which launches this November. Now, Take Two expects to make a few hundred million more than that.

Recently, one analyst estimated that GTA 6 pre-orders have generated around $300M so far, but didn't think the number was anywhere close to the rumoured 1 million mark. However, pre-orders are expected to increase once marketing for the game really ramps up, which starts later this month with the Netflix premiere.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will only be available on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles when it launches on November 17th. However, a PC version of the game is expected to arrive within a year or two.
