Xbox Insiders update brings more customisation, Quick Resume improvements and more

Microsoft’s Xbox Insiders program has been a good way for the company to test out new and upcoming potential features prior to their wider release. The latest update, available now, introduces a ton of new customisation options alongside Quick Resume improvements; QoL features and more.

Taking to the Xbox Wire blog, Alex Charters – the Senior Product Manager at Microsoft – wrote: “Starting today, select Xbox Insiders can begin testing several highly requested updates coming soon to Xbox consoles. These features will roll out more broadly to additional Insiders and then to all players over time.”

Focusing primarily on expanding player options, this latest firmware update introduces:

  • More Groups on Home
    • Expanded from 2 to 10
    • Reorder and filter improvements
  • Full colour customisation
    • Applies to accents and your Guide
  • New Quick Resume settings
    • You can now disable Quick Resume on a per-game basis
  • Profile badges added to the Guide
    • Showcases your 5 most recent badges

As mentioned, these features will roll out on a slow and steady basis and so it may take some time to appear on your end. Still, while relatively small in scope, all of the included improvements are highly welcome to see.
