GTA VI won’t come to PC at launch

With the release of the first GTA VI trailer, we have finally gotten an official look at Rockstar Games’ next tentpole release. Of course, the publishing of the trailer brings with it a great deal of new details – some good, some bad. Fortunately, the game looks to be a current-gen exclusive title. Unfortunately, PC players might have to wait until 2026 to get their hands on the game.

Alongside the arrival of the first GTA VI trailer, Rockstar Games published a press release, offering additional details on the 2025 title. While it will still be a while before we can get our hands on the game, when it does finally release, it will be exclusive to current-gen platforms.

Until now, it was unknown whether GTA VI would also be released on the PS4 and Xbox One, especially as that generation never saw its own bespoke GTA title. Fortunately, it would appear as though this is not the case, meaning Rockstar’s next game should be able to take full advantage of the current-gen consoles without being held back by older hardware.

Unfortunately – as has been the case with many Rockstar Games releases – despite coming out in 2025, PC players will have to wait even longer to get their hands on the game. No mention of PC was made at all in the announcement, although based on the company’s history, expect it to arrive around a year after the console versions. This means that PC players may have to wait all the way until 2026 to get their hands on the game – though currently this is mere conjecture.

The one silver lining comes in the fact that PC ports of Rockstar titles are typically rather comprehensive, meaning that when it does eventually release, hopefully it will be a step beyond even the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions – though we will have to wait and see.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
