Ubisoft+ release on Xbox reportedly “imminent”

All the way back in January 2022 it was announced that Ubisoft+ would be coming to Microsoft’s Xbox consoles – following the service’s inclusion as part of PS+ Extra. Since then, we have heard little in the way of official updates, though one industry insider is now claiming that the release is “likely imminent.”

In a short and simple Tweet published online, industry insider Jez Corden claimed that “Ubisoft+ on Xbox is likely imminent” – adding credence to the idea that the service is set to launch sometime this month.

As mentioned, Ubisoft+ is included as part of Sony’s PlayStation Plus Extra tier, leading some fans to wonder whether this service will also be added to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass or will require a separate subscription – to which Corden responded “Not sure yet.”

This isn’t the first we have heard regarding Ubisoft+ coming to Xbox. Following the official announcement back in early 2022, we have seen a great deal of internal activity through various game listings and API updates, in particular during the past few months.

It will be interesting to see how Ubisoft pitches this service, and whether it will indeed be included as part of Xbox Game Pass.
