The next PC port from PlayStation might be Ratchet & Clank

Ever since Sony announced that it would support the PC market with its first party games, we have seen a good number of major titles find their way onto the platform at a rather consistent rate. With The Last of Us Part I set to arrive on PC at the end of the month, fans are beginning to wonder what will be coming after it. Thanks to a new job listing we might just know.

As discovered by Reddit user ‘Veloxz’ PC porting specialists Nixxes recently posted a job listing for a UI / UX engineer which asks applicants for “Experience in using Coherent middleware.”

For the uninitiated, the middleware mentioned pertains to game UI made by Coherent Labs. In going to their website you can see the games which utilise this technology. Of the games listed, only one is a first-party PlayStation title – Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

With Nixxes already having worked on porting both Spider-Man and Miles Morales, the team clearly has an understanding of Insomniac Games’ bespoke technologies, and so it would not be surprising to see Ratchet & Clank be Sony’s next big PC game. We will have to wait and see.
