Persona 6 has been internally delayed out of 2023 claims insider

Though it feels like yesterday, the highly revered Persona 5 is over 6 years old, first launching in 2016 in Japan (before later coming to the West in early 2017). With it being so long since the last mainline game fans have been eagerly awaiting news on the all-but-confirmed Persona 6. Unfortunately, you may have to wait a bit longer as according to one industry insider there is an “Absolute zero chance [Persona] 6 releases this year.”

‘Im A Hero Too’ is a known industry insider, in particular when it comes to the Persona franchise, with them having leaked the existence of the currently-in-development Persona 3 Remake. When asked by one fan for an update on the current status of the much-anticipated (though yet to be officially announced) Persona 6, they responded:

“Absolute zero chance 6 releases this year. It was delayed internally just yesterday and there is a rough timeframe but can't share, sorry.”

Explaining a potential reason for the delay ‘Im A Hero Too’ continued, claiming it “could be to release remake first or the other game but I'm not privy to that info. If the teaser is at Sony's next show, I'll know beforehand and confirm.”

While not many were expecting Persona 6 to release this year, with it having been so long since the last game it is understandable that some fans are getting antsy. That said, you can't rush art and so while we could still be waiting years for the game to release, when it does it will most likely be worth the long wait.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
