Modder creates tool that enables DLAA on DLSS-compatible titles

Nvidia DLAA is one of the best anti-aliasing techniques for games. As such, many gamers would like to see the technology available in more titles, but developers don't seem too keen on introducing it to their games. That, however, didn't impede developers from designing a tool that allows you to enable DLAA to select DLSS-compatible titles.

Using the recently released DLSS 3.1.0 SDK, a modder named emoose posted a piece of software on GitHub named DLSSTweaks. This plugin lets you use DLAA on games that were not supposed to support the technology, allowing you to benefit from a boost in image quality by sacrificing some framerate.

The developer of the tool shared a list of games where the mod “hopefully works” and another with the games that may have issues with it. Some titles listed below already support DLAA, but you can still use the mod on them.

Games compatible with the mod:

  • Dying Light 2
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider
  • Judgment
  • Lost Judgment
  • Death Stranding
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 (rename to XInput9_1_0.dll)
  • Plague Tale Requiem
  • Chernobylite (UE4)
  • Ghostwire Tokyo (UE4)
  • God of War
  • Uncharted 4
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Deathloop
  • Ready Or Not (UE4)
  • HITMAN 3
  • Nioh 2 (ForceAutoExposure can be used to fix the graphics issues it has with DLSS3.1)
  • FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch (UE4)
  • Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition

Games having issues with DLAA:

  • Mortal Shell
  • Minecraft Bedrock Edition (DLAA causes screen cut in half)
  • Crysis 3 Remastered

Making it work isn't as easy as plug-and-play, but nothing that moving, renaming and configuring some files can't solve. However, note that the developer doesn't recommend you use it on online games, as anti-cheating software may flag it due to how it works.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
