A Metro Exodus sequel is on the way

Recently, 4A Games made headlines after making extensive content creation tools available for Metro Exodus, setting things up nicely for the modding future of the game. Now, the studio is back in the news, as it seems a new Metro game is on the way and is already fully playable.

According to sources speaking with Insider Gaming, the next Metro game is already ‘fully playable' at 4A Games. While that doesn't mean the game is close to done, it does mean that we could potentially see an official reveal in 2023.

While the next Metro game has not been officially revealed, 4A Games did casually announce that they are working on it in the studio's 10th-anniversary blog back in 2020.

The post reveals that the game is being built for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, using a newly overhauled engine and renderer to increase graphical fidelity.

KitGuru Says: The previous Metro games were fantastic, and each one has also pushed boundaries in graphics too. With that in mind, it will be exciting to finally see the next Metro game when the time comes.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
