It has been a good while since Metro Exodus came out, capping off the story of Artyom and taking fans through some of the events of the final book. Now, 4A Games is preparing for its next major game, Metro 2039, and it will be announced later this week. 

7 years on from the last mainline release, 4A Games is finally ready to announce the next entry in the Metro series – 2039.

In celebration of the game’s 15th birthday, Metro 2033 Redux is being given away for free right now on Steam for a limited time.

4A Games is making some internal changes. Previously, 4A Games spanned multiple teams, including a studio based in Ukraine. With 4A Games Ukraine now spinning off to work on a new IP, the studio is rebranding. Now known as Reburn, the studio has revealed an all-new game - La Quimera.
