Ubisoft confirms The Crew 3, announcement coming tomorrow

Over the weekend, we learned a few new details about Ubisoft's next racing game, tentatively referred to as ‘The Crew 3', the third in a series of open-world racing games. As it turns out, the official reveal for this game is right around the corner.

Recent leaks revealed that The Crew 3, developed internally under the title ‘Project Orlando', will use a new game engine. While initially planned as an expansion for The Crew 2, the project eventually evolved into its own full game. Now, following on from these leaks, Ubisoft is preparing to announce the game properly:

As we can see in the tweet above, Ubisoft is planning to make an announcement tomorrow at 9AM PST. Presumably, the game will also be on track to release this year, helping Ubisoft fill some of the massive gaps in its release schedule.

The Crew 3: Motorfest will take place on a Hawaiian island, is built with a new engine, and apparently takes inspiration from Microsoft's successful Forza Horizon series of open-world racing games.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
