Naughty Dog releases first episode of ‘Building The Last of Us’

2023 is a huge year for The Last of Us franchise. Not only will the series be celebrating its 10th anniversary, but we recently saw the premiere of HBO’s TV adaptation of the 2013 classic. In discussing both the game and show, Naughty Dog has now released the first episode of ‘Building The Last of Us.’

Available in both video and written format, ‘Building The Last of Us’ is a new series which sees Naughty Dog and HBO discuss the development of The Last of Us Part 1 as well as the currently airing HBO adaptation.

Episode 1 of the series sees Naughty Dog “[going] behind the scenes of the creation of The Last of Us’ iconic opening and preserving it for The Last of Us Part I.”

Without spoiling anything, episode 1 of HBO’s The Last of Us – which aired earlier this week – adapted the game’s iconic opening, maintaining the expected sequence of events while expanding upon them in some ways and contracting in others.

‘Building The Last of Us’ goes into all this and more, and with HBO’s show releasing new episodes on a weekly basis, hopefully this breakdown series continues to follow in its steps with 8 further episodes at the very least.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
