PowerWash Simulator update delayed as PlayStation/Switch releases pushed to 2023

PowerWash Simulator is one of the more surprising titles to hit virality earlier this year following the game’s graduation from Early Access into a full-fledged release. The team at FuturLab had hoped to keep this momentum going by bringing the game to other platforms, though unfortunately this has now been delayed.

Making the announcement on their blog, the team at FuturLab said “We are sorry, but we can no longer announce the next batch of content as planned. It is still coming, but at the moment, we can’t share what it is or its release date due to several development factors.”

Previously, FuturLab had announced that they would be unveiling PowerWash Simulator’s latest content update on the 6th of December. Though little was shared at the time, we do know that this DLC will be free and will “bring a new mini-story expansion across five new levels, including all new areas and vehicles.”

The team continued, “We have had a fantastic year, moving from Early Access to full launch, and that is largely thanks to our community’s support and feedback, so please rest assured that our wonderful development team are working incredibly hard in the background to make 2023 an amazing year full of washable content!”

Though the game is currently available on PC and Xbox consoles, PowerWash Simulator was confirmed to be coming to both PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, fans will also have to wait a while for news on this, as the team claimed that “Console launch announcements and releases for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4/5 will also be coming with content announcements early next year.”

While unfortunate that this update has been delayed – especially as it was so last-minute – it will have been for a good reason, and so hopefully when the new content and console release dates are announced, they will be worth the wait.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
