Monster Hunter Rise is heading to Xbox Game Pass in January

A couple of days ago, sources claimed that Monster Hunter Rise would be launching on Xbox and PlayStation consoles in early 2023, and that the game would be coming to Xbox Game Pass. Now, Capcom has confirmed exactly that.

Following on from this week's leak, Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Rise will launch on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PS5 on the 20th of January 2023. Additionally, the game's Sunbreak expansion will launch on those platforms in Spring 2023.

On day-one, the game will be available to play on Xbox Game Pass for PC and console, although the Sunbreak expansion will be sold separately and is not included with the Game Pass subscription.

Monster Hunter Rise first launched for Nintendo Switch in 2021, garnering plenty of praise. It then launched on PC in 2022, followed by the Sunbreak expansion for both platforms.

KitGuru Says: I spent most of my time with Monster Hunter Rise on the Switch, but with the game now coming to Game Pass, I'll almost certainly be switching over to PC or Xbox. Are you planning on picking this up in the new year?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
