The Epic Games Store will reportedly offer a free game every day through Christmas

The Epic Games Store has been offering free games on a weekly basis ever since it launched. For the holiday season this year, Epic will be stepping things up a notch, with plans to offer a free game every day through Christmas and New Years.

Many gamers have likely heard of billbil-kun. Posting on Dealabs, billbil-kun regularly leaks upcoming free games for services like PlayStation+, days ahead of official announcement. This poster has quite the track record for accuracy with these leaks. In a recent post, they revealed that Epic is planning to do daily game giveaways for the Christmas and New Years period, just as it did last year.

The campaign should run between December 15th and January 10th, 2023. In 2019, EGS gave out 12 free games as part of the Holiday Games Sale from December 19th to the 31st. In 2020 and 2021, the total number of free games increased to 15, as the promotions started on December 16/17th and ended on December 30th/31st. For now, there are no rumours about which games EGS will offer.

While we wait to see if the report is accurate, you can get Star Wars: Squadron for free from the Epic Game Store. Additionally, next week, the store will allow you to grab Fort Triumph and RPG in the Box for free.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
