You will be able to vote in The Game Awards through Discord

Over the years, Discord has become the de facto social media / messaging app for video game enthusiasts. Likewise, The Game Awards has in many ways become one of the biggest ceremonies for gaming. It therefore makes sense for the two to team up, with The Game Awards now announcing that you will be able to vote for your favourite games through the app.

Following the announcement that The Game Awards nominees will be officially revealed this upcoming Monday, the team took to Twitter to unveil their latest evolution of the show, saying: “We're excited to announce a multi-faceted partnership with @Discord for #TheGameAwards!”

With this partnership in place, you will now be able to:

  • Vote for nominees in TGA Discord Server
  • Watch TGA live in the server with Watch Together
  • Be involved in AMA Stage Events ft. Special Guests
  • Partake in the Best Community Support Award

In the past, we have seen The Game Awards make it possible to vote through a wide manner of means, including via Google Search. It only makes sense that the next step would be to allow people to vote through discord. If you wish to join the Game Awards Discord, you can do so HERE.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
