AOC’s latest ultrawide is perfect for work and play

AOC is launching a new ultrawide monitor this month, complete with a 100Hz panel and 3440x1440p resolution. While this might be spec'd like a gaming monitor, it is actually geared towards multi-purpose users, including office work and enterprise. Aesthetically, the monitor would also fit right at home in that environment.

Featuring a 34-inch curved (1500R) VA panel, the new AOC CU34P2C offers 3440x1440p resolution, 100Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT/4ms G2G response time. Like most VA displays, it has a 3000:1 contrast ratio. Moreover, it features 300nits of brightness and an 8-bit colour depth, allowing it to cover 120% of the sRGB spectrum, 89% of the AdobeRGB colour space, and 85% of the NTSC gamut.

AOC's new monitor features flicker-free technology to reduce eye fatigue and a low blue light mode that removes harmful blue light without significantly affecting displayed colours. In addition, it supports Adaptive-Sync for a tear-free gaming experience.

Connectivity options include a 4-port USB hub, a 3.5mm headphone output, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, and a DisplayPort 1.2. In addition, it has 2x 3W speakers. The included stand allows you to tilt, swivel, and adjust the height. Alternatively, you can also mount the monitor on a VESA 100x100mm monitor arm. The AOC CU34P2C will be available starting this month for £479.99 with a three-year warranty.
