Intel details entry-level Arc A310 desktop GPU specs

Besides announcing the Arc A770 and A750 GPUs, both launching on October 12th, Intel has also given us a brief look at its upcoming entry-level GPU, the Arc A310. Based on its specifications, don't expect it to do battle with any of Nvidia or AMD's mid to high-end GPUs. However, there are use cases where such a card can come in handy. 

The Intel Arc A310 will use a cut-down ACM-G11 GPU based on the TSMC N6 node, featuring just six Xe-cores clocked at 2000MHz. The memory subsystem has 4GB of GDDR6 memory running at 15.5Gbps across a 64-bit memory interface, offering a maximum bandwidth of 124GB/s. All this comes in a 75W TBP package, meaning we should see models without any power connectors.

According to the spec sheet, the new graphics card supports up to PCIe 4.0 x16. However, considering the A380 only supports eight lanes, we wouldn't be surprised if that was a typo.

Intel's new entry-level graphics card will be available in Q3 2022. Considering the quarter will end in just two days, Intel will likely miss the release date, as it did with the Arc A770.

KitGuru says: For basic graphics tasks, the Arc A310 should do the trick. For anything beyond that, you'll likely be better off with a GPU that offers a little more power.
