More than 5000 titles are now Verified or Playable on Steam Deck

After a slow start due to supply issues and high demand, the Steam Deck seems to be finally hitting its stride on all fronts. 6 months after the first batch of Steam Decks were released to the wild, Valve’s popular portable handheld system now supports more than 5000 titles.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the official Steam Deck account said “Oh hey, another big milestone – we just passed 5,000 tested Verified and Playable titles on Steam Deck! Plenty more to go (so many games on Steam), but just wanted to take a moment to celebrate!”

For Steam Deck owners both current and upcoming, this news is exciting indeed, especially the rate at which games are being tested and supported. Of course, way more than 5000 games are actually playable on the device, however Valve’s list only accounts for titles which have been tested and verified by the manufacturer.

In reality, thanks to community work, new games are being supported by the day, but for 5000 games to now receive official verification from Valve itself is exciting. Hopefully the team continues to verify more and more titles by the month – and that more multiplayer games are supported.

SplitGate team reportedly developing a Titanfall successor

While its sequel has failed to make the same level of splash, the team are apparently working on a brand new game – this one being inspired by Titanfall.
