Alone in the Dark reboot screenshots and details leak

A few days ago, we first heard that THQ Nordic is planning a new game based on the survival horror classic, Alone in the Dark. THQ Nordic acquired the IP back in 2018 and now, the series will be getting rebooted once again.

Leaked screenshots and a retail listing with a full product description tell us most of what we need to know about the game. As pointed out by Okami Games, Alone in the Dark will be getting rebooted again. The new game will  feature two protagonists searching for a missing relative at a psychiatric asylum in 1920s USA.

The game is aiming to combine psychological horror with ‘southern gothic' elements, which comes through in the art style we see in the leaked screenshots. The writer behind recent horror hits like SOMA and Amnesia also worked on this game, which should be encouraging for anyone who was worried about this IP's revival.

THQ Nordic is holding its own games showcase later today. Alone in the Dark is expected to be announced officially during the event.

KitGuru Says: If the leak earlier this week didn't convince you, the newly leaked screenshots should be enough to push this out of the ‘rumour' category.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
