MSI shows off MEG QD-OLED ultrawide gaming monitor at Computex 2022

OLED gaming monitors are finally starting to become more common. This week, MSI unveiled its new QD-OLED gaming monitor at Computex, the MEG 342C, delivering deep blacks and vibrant colours, as well as ultra-wide resolution and a high refresh rate for gaming.

The MSI MEG 342C QD-OLED is a 21:9 curved gaming monitor, with a QD-OLED panel with 3440×1440 resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 175Hz, making it a great fit for gaming. The monitor ships pre-calibrated to ensure colour accuracy meets the Delta E ≤2 standard.

The monitor also sports True Colour technology, and can display 99.3% of the DCI-P3 colour spectrum, 97.8% Adobe RGB, and 139.1% sRGB. In terms of response time, the panel has a 0.1ms G2G response time, making it one of the fastest gaming monitors around.

Finally, the monitor also features HMI 2.0, a dial that you can use to control MSI PC and monitor functions. The monitor's OSD can be directly controlled with the dial too.

We don't have pricing or a launch date yet, but expect to see the MSI MEG 342C QD-OLED to hit store shelves later this year.
