Open-world terminator game announced

The Terminator franchise has seen its tumultuous reputation rise and fall across all mediums, from films to video games. Following on from 2019’s well-received Terminator Resistance, an open-world survival game set in the Terminator universe has now been announced.

The 2022 Nacon Connect game showcase recently concluded, showing off and announcing all manner of games from The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, to ParadiZe Project to the release date of Skateboarding title Session. One of the most interesting announcements however was the reveal of ‘Terminator Survival Project’.

The teaser was brief, however we do have confirmation that the game will be open-world in nature and is “set between the events of Judgement Day and the formation of the resistance.”

Developed by Nacon Milan, no release date was provided aside from the claim that it is “coming to PC & Consoles in the distant future.”

Licensed video games have had an inconsistent past. This is no more evident than with the Terminator franchise. Fortunately, even though the films have been less-than-stellar, the previous Terminator game – Terminator Resistance – was well received by fans of the franchise, lending hope to the notion that Terminator Survival Project could be equally as good if not better. We will have to wait and see.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
