Fall Guys is getting a Sonic themed level

Ever since it first launched, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has found success in collaborating with a wide number of other video game franchises. Now under the wing of Epic Games, Fall Guys is upping the ante with its collabs, the first of which looks to be Sonic the Hedgehog themed.

Fall Guys leaker FGPancake recently took to Twitter to show off an upcoming collaboration between the aforementioned game and Sonic the Hedgehog. Unlike previous collabs, this one is much greater in scope. Named ‘Bean Hill Zone’, the level in question takes clear heavy inspiration from by far Sonic’s most iconic level – Green Hill Zone.

The level itself also looks to take some inspiration from Sonic when it comes to the obstacles. There are floating rings throughout the level, bouncy spring pads and a multi-tiered level setup – all common elements of a classic Sonic level.

Fall Guys originally collaborated with Sonic back in October 2020, shortly after the game's launch. At the time, the collab only extended as far as a Sonic costume. It is interesting to see Epic Games taking their learnings from Fortnite and putting it into Fall Guys. Hopefully the collaboration is extensive. We will have to wait and see.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
