Redfall gameplay reveal opens up Xbox and Bethesda showcase

The Xbox and Bethesda 2022 showcase has arrived, with a key focus on games coming out within the next 12 months. The show opened up with one of last year's surprises, Redfall, which now has an official gameplay trailer.

Redfall opened up the show this year with a 6-minute gameplay presentation. We see some direct capture gameplay, as well as a more cinematic introduction of key characters towards the end:

The gameplay trailer reveals that Redfall is an open world game, set on an island overrun with vampires. It'll be your job to take them out either solo or in a co-op squad. As we can see from the trailer, this is also a looter shooter, so expect to be swapping out gear and unlocking new abilities throughout your journey.

To me, this wasn't a great way to open the show, as Redfall looks like an easy 7/10, but we'll discuss that in more detail in a KitGuru Games next week.

Redfall was originally planned for 2022 but was recently delayed to the first half of 2023, alongside Starfield. A new release date has not been shared yet.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
