June’s free PS Plus games officially revealed

Just a few short days ago, the list of games being given away for free as part of the PlayStation Plus Essential subscription leaked. Now, Sony have officially announced the line-up, confirming that God of War is indeed being given away for free.

Making the announcement on the PlayStation Blog, Adam Michel, the Director of Content Acquisition & Operations at SIE revealed that from “June 7 to July 4, PlayStation Plus members can add God of War (2018), Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl to their game library.”

Of course, the headlining title is undoubtedly God of War. Released in 2018, this Game of the Year winner managed to reviatilse an aging series, not only reviving it, but making it more popular than ever. As we all eagerly await the release of its sequel, God of War Regnarok, now is as good a time as any to play – or replay – the first game.

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is the most recent game set in the world of the popular anime, Naruto. Released in 2018, this anime arena fighter has been continuously updated with new content. While the version on offer for PS Plus members is the base edition, there is more than enough content available to satiate any and all Naruto fans.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a Smash Bros. like fighting game which brings together dozens of characters from across the history of Nickelodeon. Released in late 2021, All Star Brawl seemingly has a long life ahead of it, with more characters confirmed to be on their way.

All three of these titles will be available to add to your library from the 7th of June, until the 4th of July, meaning that you still have a week to pick up May’s free games.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
