Partial line-up of upcoming Xbox showcase leaks

Following last week’s PlayStation State of Play, Microsoft is readying up for their own Summer Game Fest-related showcase. Taking place on the 12th of June, Microsoft’s Xbox and Bethesda Showcase is said to include “amazing titles coming from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and our partners around the world”. Thanks to an accidental reveal, we now know one of the games set to appear.

Ahead of the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, the official French ARK Twitter account said (as translated by Google) “See you on June 12 for exclusive content on ARK 2” confirming that the survival game will be at the upcoming showcase.

ARK 2 was first announced at the 2020 Game Awards where it was confirmed that not only will Vin Diesel play a role in the game, but that it is planned for launch in 2022 as an Xbox Series X|S console launch exclusive.

Being a timed-exclusive, it makes sense that the game would show up at an Xbox showcase, but we now seemingly have concrete proof of this. So far, very little has been seen from ARK 2, and as such, it will be exciting to see what Studio Wildcard has planned for the showcase – hopefully gameplay.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
