God of War is coming to GeForce Now

Among the many video game streaming services, GeForce Now is one of the more consistent ones, seeing a respectable number of games being continually added to the service. A new tease by Nvidia has revealed that God of War is coming to GeForce Now.

The 20th of April 2022 marks the 4th anniversary of 2018’s God of War. In celebration, Nvidia has teased that the award-winning title is coming to GeForce Now, taking to Twitter to say “can you guess the character?” while publishing a censored image which is clearly from 2018’s God of War.

God of War will mark the first Sony game being supported by GeForce Now. This had led many to believe that more Sony-published games could be added to the service in the future.

Despite releasing God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone onto PC, none of these titles have been available to stream through GeForce Now. It’s exciting to see that this is finally changing. Hopefully the rest of Sony’s games find their way onto the service eventually.

Nvidia also recently upgraded GeForce Now with instant game demos – taking a page out of Google Stadia’s playbook. Aside from God of War, the most recent games announced for the service includes TUNIC, Northgard and Offworld Trading Company, meaning that there is plenty to play while waiting for the arrival of Kratos.
