EA Play delivers a boost to April Xbox Game Pass offerings

March ended up being a pretty strong month for Xbox Game Pass thanks to the addition of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. In April, the Xbox team will be following that up with MLB: The Show 22, and a few other newly confirmed titles. EA Play also brings a decent boost to the latest wave of Game Pass titles.

Through leaks yesterday, much of this month's update to Xbox Game Pass was already revealed. MLB: The Show 22, Life is Strange True Colors, Chinatown Detective Agency, Lost in Random, Panzer Corps 2 and Cricket 22 were all unveiled. As it turns out though, Microsoft had a few extra cards up its sleeve thanks to new additions to EA Play, which is included with certain Xbox Game Pass tiers.

Here's the full confirmed list of titles coming in the first half of April, as well as platforms and availability:

  • Cricket 22 (Cloud and Console) – available now
  • MLB The Show 22 (Cloud and Console – available now
  • Chinatown Detective Agency (Cloud, Console and PC) – April 7th
  • Dragon Age 2 (Cloud) – April 7th
  • Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (Cloud) – April 7th

  • Life is Strange: True Colors (Cloud, Console and PC) – April 12th
  • Panzer Corps 2 (PC) – April 12th

In two weeks time, Microsoft will have another wave of Xbox Game Pass titles to announce to close out the month. The next couple of months could be a little quieter though, as Microsoft will surely be saving some major Xbox Game Pass announcements for its summer games showcase in June.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
