AMD Radeon RX 6500XT and RX 6400 specs leak

It seems the AMD Radeon 6000 series still has unreleased SKUs left in store. This week, details on the RX 6500XT and RX 6400 began to leak, both of which are said to be based on the Navi 24 GPU and feature 4GB of GDDR6 memory.

The news comes from @KOMACHI_ENSAKA, who reports that both graphics cards will be based on the Navi 24 GPU, although a Navi 14 refresh is also apparently a possibility.

The Navi 24 GPU should feature 16CUs, which would equal 1024 stream processors. The Radeon RX 6500XT should come with the GPU fully enabled, while the RX 6400 should be a cut-down version, probably featuring 14 CUs (896 stream processors) or 12 CUs (768 stream processors) enabled. Both GPUs are said to feature 4GB of GDDR6 memory, so a 64-bit memory bus seems the most logical option. Moreover, it should also come with 16MB of Infinity Cache.

AMD is due to make a number of announcements at CES 2022, so these new entry-level GPUs could be among them. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru says: It seems the Radeon RX 6000 series is finally expanding into the entry-level market, succeeding the RX 5500XT. It's still too soon to say how well they perform, but considering their specs, they should rival the likes of the Nvidia GTX 1650 Super and the upcoming Intel DG2-128EU GPU.
