Capcom announces Street Fighter 6 releasing this year

It has been years since Street Fighter V first launched, exclusively to PlayStation 4 and PC. Now, the fighting game community has something new to look forward to – Street Fighter 6, which is releasing later this year.

Today, Capcom officially announced Street Fighter 5 during the Capcom Pro Tour 2021 Final. Not too much has been revealed so far, but we do have a short teaser trailer, and better yet, a release window:

Capcom plans to launch Street Fighter 6 this summer, although an exact date has yet to be revealed. We should learn more in a few months time though, as the publisher continues to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Street Fighter series.

Supported platforms for the game have also yet to be announced, but we can presume that PlayStation and PC will continue to be supported, just as we saw with Street Fighter 5. Hopefully, this time around Xbox consoles and the Nintendo Switch can also be included in the mix.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
