February’s PS Plus Games announced

As PlayStation fans eagerly await the reveal of the console manufacturer’s rumoured Game Pass competitor, Sony is continuing to offer its monthly PlayStation Plus Games in a traditional manner that is typical of the company. With that, February’s free PlayStation Plus games have been announced.

Available for free to all those with a PlayStation Plus subscription, February’s free PS Plus games are:

  • EA Sports UFC 4
  • Planet Coaster: Console Edition
  • Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep

Surprisingly, the most exciting game being offered is Planet Coaster: Console Edition. Being made available exclusively for PS5 users (though PS4 users can still redeem the game, just not play it), Planet Coaster allows you to “Surprise and delight crowds as you build the coaster park of your dreams and manage a truly living world with unparalleled attention to detail”. Featuring more than 700 objects to place wherever and however you please, Planet Coaster serves as a spiritual successor to the highly successful RollerCoaster Tycoon series.

Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep is a relatively short, standalone campaign which inspired the upcoming Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, which is set to release in March. In Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, players can “Smash skeletons, defeat dragons, and battle giant golems in this first Wonderlands adventure inspired by Borderlands.”

Overall, February’s PS Plus line-up is a relatively weak one, especially when compared to the likes of Xbox Game Pass. That being said, it is worth noting that PlayStation is rumoured to be wholly revamping its PS Plus service later this Spring, and so February’s disappointing line-up may be the last, as the console manufacturer inches towards the announcement of this brand new service. February’s PS Plus line-up will be available to acquire for free from the 1st of February until the 28th.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
