The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is finally coming out in ‘early 2022’

Back in October 2013, developer ‘Galactic Café’ burst onto the scene with The Stanley Parable- a wonderfully humorous and intriguing game built on the source engine. At this point, all of the game’s original secrets and surprises have been uncovered, so Galactic Café announced a huge update back in 2018. After multiple delays, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is now finally coming out in 2022.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe was originally announced at The Game Awards 2018, with a planned 2019 release date. Eventually, the game was delayed to 2020, but then the pandemic happened, causing delays across the entire games industry and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe was no exception.

In its latest video, Galactic Café says that The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe will now be coming out in ‘early 2022' and this time around, the game even has a Steam page, indicating that this release window might stick. If it does get delayed again, then we should still see the game finally come out some time next year.

The Stanley Parable writer and designer, Davey Wreden, also added that the game is now “content complete” and ready for launch on PC and consoles early next year. He also added that Ultra Deluxe script is longer than the script for the original game, so we can expect a lot of new content, endings and secrets to discover along the way.

KitGuru Says: The Stanley Parable is one of the funniest games I've ever played, even the recent delay announcement videos maintained the game's signature style of humour. Hopefully this time around, Ultra Deluxe does meet its planned release date.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
