Resident Evil 4 Remake leaked by voice actor

While Capcom has yet to officially announce a new Resident Evil Remake, many anticipate that Resident Evil 4 Remake is in development. Now, a long-time Resident Evil series voice actor appears to have confirmed this, revealing concept art for the game in a live stream. 

In a recent stream, DC Douglas, the voice behind Wesker, revealed concept art for Resident Evil 4 Remake and confirmed that he would be voicing the character once again in the ‘Separate Ways' portion of the game. This information was then shared by @BewareCreepyVAs on Twitter, an account that primarily looks to raise awareness of inappropriate behaviour amongst voice actors, particularly during conventions.

The account accused DC Douglas of breaking an NDA by sharing this information, although we have no way of confirming any agreement between the voice actor and Capcom. So far, the publisher has not commented on the leak publicly, nor has it officially confirmed plans for Resident Evil 4 Remake.

As reported by VGC, Resident Evil 4 Remake is said to have entered development all the way back in 2018 under a separate team, before moving development back to Capcom's Division 1 studio.

KitGuru Says: Resident Evil 4 Remake could be between 1 and 2 years away from release, so leaks coming out this early will certainly upset some folks at Capcom. Whether or not it impacts Douglas' position as the voice actor for Wesker remains to be seen.
