Gigabyte releases fix for Intel 12th Gen CPU DRM issues

Many Intel 12th Gen Core processor owners have found multiple issues when trying to play certain games protected by DRM services due to the new E-Cores they feature. These cores may lead the DRM software to trigger incorrectly, as it recognises them as a separate system, even if it's not. To help tackle this issue, Gigabyte has now released a DRM Fix tool.

Using Gigabyte's tool, users can easily switch the E-cores on and off, avoiding issues when opening certain DRM-protected games on an Intel 12th Gen Core processor. Unlike other workarounds, like editing the BIOS settings, using a PS/2 keyboard connection and even pressing a dedicated button on the chassis or keyboard, Gigabyte's tool seems to be more user-friendly.

This tool only works on systems using select motherboards with the latest BIOS installed. Here's a list of the latest BIOS version of each Gigabyte Z690 motherboard currently available:

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
