Radeon RX 6600 GPU emerges in Australia, costs about the same as an RTX 3060

The first retail listing for the unannounced Radeon RX 6600 graphics card has appeared online. The listing is specifically for the recently leaked Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 Eagle. There are also new reports indicating that the graphics card will launch in October. 

The listing spotted by @momomo_us comes from the Australian retailer PCAOS, which prices the card at AUD 910.80 (£489), with Goods and Service Tax (GST) included. VideoCardz also found a listing of the same card on Computers Perth, featuring the same card at AUD 805.20 (£432). Both listings have already been removed from their respective websites.

The listings seem to confirm the card will indeed feature 8GB of video memory, presumably GDDR6. As for the remaining specifications, we still expect this SKU will feature a Navi 23 XL GPU with 1,792 stream processors, 32MB of Infinity Cache and a 128-bit memory bus.

In a separate report from Coreteks, it is claimed that AMD moved the release of the Radeon RX 6600 from September to October. Additionally, it stated that the stock of this GPU should be less than the RX 6600 XT. The reason for this is said to be “great yields” for the TSMC N7 node, so AMD is prioritising stock of the more expensive RX 6600 XT over the cheaper model.
