Apple to launch Mac Mini with upgraded M1X processor

When Apple first announced its M1 processor, the first system to feature the chip was a Mac Mini, which was sold as a development kit so software makers can make the transition to arm over x86. Now, it looks like we'll be getting an upgraded Mac Mini within the next few months, featuring a newer Apple processor.

According to Apple-focused journalist, Mark Gurman (via The Verge), a “high-end M1X Mac Mini” is expected to launch “in the next several months” with an updated design.

Currently, Apple is only shipping systems with the M1 processor, so the M1X should be a newer version with better efficiency and performance. The nomenclature follows on from Apple's series of iPhone processors, which typically are refreshed with an ‘X' model every other year.

If Apple is going to launch a new Mac Mini, it will likely be announced in October, alongside a few other Mac products.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
