Humankind is coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC on day one

For the last couple of weeks, Humankind has been reaching the top most pre-ordered games on Steam. With a lot of buzz around the upcoming 4X strategy title, Microsoft has now announced that the game will be coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC on day one.

Amplitude Studios and Sega will be launching Humankind next week on PC. The game won't only be available on Steam, it will also be available to all Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers at launch, giving us a rare PC exclusive for the subscription service.

Humankind is a 4X strategy game where players are tasked with re-writing human history, starting off in the Neolithic Era and working up to the Modern Era. The game packs 60 historical cultures, and each civilisation can be customised through moral choices. Each decision you make while leading your civilisation will build your level of fame – the player with the most fame at the end wins the game.

Expect tactical battles, scientific breakthroughs, alliances and betrayals along the way. Humankind is releasing on the 17th of August.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
